A community (or 'common unity') whether based on a geographical area, shared demographics, shared interests or hobbies can help create a sense of connectedness. Think of a 'tribe' or the feeling of belonging when you feel accepted by like-minded people. This helps to foster meaningful connections, builds social networks, helps to nurture relationships, boosts self-esteem, confidence and empowerment. Being part of a community can have both postive effects on an individual's mental, physical and emotional health as well as on the wellbeing of the community as a whole. Research suggest that good social and community wellbeing can reduce the effect of social isolation which may contribute to loneliness, mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and poor health outcomes.
Our mission is to promote social and community wellbeing and support groups and individuals who are vulnerable, disadvantaged or at risk of social isolation and poor health outcomes.
Our aim is to enable individual and community groups to better support themselves community through empowerment and reduce poor physical and mental health outcomes, relationship breakdown, substance abuse, poverty and deprivation.

Parents and Carers are responsible for the care of children, but rarely prioritised their wellbeing needs, with extra pressure due to the cost of living, caring for children and juggling other priorities. We want to ensure parents, carers and parentis loco (incl teachers) have the opportunity to release stress in order to better care for themselves and the children in their care.
